Simple Things Yadkin County Can Do
1. Provide animals with a clean, comfortable environment: Cages and kennels must be maintained in good condition, cleaned and disinfected daily, and free of sharp or broken edges.2. Animals must have access to fresh, clean water at all times.
3. Animals should be separated as follows:
- Sick or injured animals from healthy animals
- Young animals from adult animals (unless nursing)
- Aggressive animals from non-aggressive animals
- Males from females (particularly females in season)
- Nursing mothers and babies should be separated from all other animals and provided with access to bedding in a dark, quiet area.
