Help Katrina’s Animal Victims in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana
In Saint Bernard Parish, Louisiana, top-rate volunteers are needed immediately to clean, walk, and feed dogs and cats taken in by animal rescuers from collapsed and flooded houses. This is dirty work. There are no accommodations within 90 minutes of the site, so volunteers must be prepared to live in their vehicles and bring food and water.
Funds are also needed to help build and reconstruct animal-holding facilities; currently, animals are just being sheltered in a field in this parish. Donations to St. Bernard Parish and surrounding parishes will greatly help local animal-control officials and animal-rescue agencies.
