October 7, 2005, 5 p.m.: Help Heartbroken Mississippi Family Reunite
We're hoping that you may be able to help reunite a Mississippi family with its beloved dogs.
The family was caring for its two dogs—a male golden retriever and a female German shepherd—at its Pass Christian, Mississippi, home, from which it had been evacuated. On a day that the city was closed to traffic, the dogs were apparently removed from the home by an animal rescue agency. The couple's desperate search for the animals on various Web sites has been unsuccessful thus far.
If you or anyone you know is aware of an animal rescue agency working in Pass Christian, Mississippi, between the dates of September 5 and 8, please share that information with Francis Battista by writing francis@bestfriends.org.
